Socialized by Society or God? umpteen questions develop issue to my mind as we concord analyze and discussed the material in this class. It has brightened my understanding of who I am immediately and how I became said self. There are many contrasting terms and processes discussed by Berger and Luckmann, Gergen, and Brown that have influenced the way I view how I was socialized. By reading their material I have been able to realize how certain moments in my invigoration have put-oned a larger influence on who I have become today. I have come to realize that there is much much to life than exploitation up, but that there are tons of factors that play into creating the Self. According to Burger and Luckmann, Socialization is society coming into an individual. This influences the individuals kinds of thoughts, verbalization and port (Berger and Luckmann). Just this definition had me thinking nigh how I was socialized growing up. What played into the creating of my thoughts, words and behavior? Berger and Luckmann say that there are five agents that form who you have become. These agents are family, peers, civilise, mass media and religion. Looking back on this, it seems to go well with what Brown talks about within groups. each told of these agents for the most part, aside from mass media, are without a dubiety groups.

According to Brown, a group exists when two or more people define themselves as members of it and when its existence is recognized by at least one other (Brown). This would include your family, peers, school and religion. Looking at this I can see how all of them played a huge factor in socialisation me. I have been truly blessed with an amazing family and I feel that they have passed on many positive traits that have stuck with me through all these years.
