This study examines the accuracy of these impulsive reports by evaluating the ability of users of US annual reports to judge comparative degree social performance across firms from annual report disclosures. environmental performance, as one aspect of social reporting, is focused on due to its continuing importance and to the availability of external embodied performance measures.
